For the perfect stovetop popcorn:
- Pour oil and corn into a pan (~ 1T oil for 3T kernels, 2T oil for 1/4 cup kernels, 3T oil for 1/2 cup kernels).
- Cover pan, leaving lid slightly ajar and place over medium heat.
- Lift and shake pan frequently while heating. When popping slows, remove pan from heat.
