Dried figs have higher antioxidant activity and mineral content than fresh figs. They are rich in dietary fibre, minerals including potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and copper and are a good source of vitamins A, B, E and K.
Recommended daily intake: 40g or 3-4 figs per day. Suitable for all ages. Diabetics should consult with health practitioner first before consumption due to the higher sugar content present in dried figs in comparison to fresh figs.
